Some pictures to entice
Some pictures from our wedding courtesy of my bridesmaid and best friend - Cheryl. Got more to post! Look out for my anecdote of the wedding coming up.
Our lovely pancakes. Sadly some of the guests who left early did not get to take this home. This was our wedding favor.
Chris didn't get to sleep at all the night before our wedding. He crashed for a bit in our wedding car on the way to the hotel before the wedding ceremony.
A picture of the most gorgeous bouquet I ever saw in my entire life.... thanks so much to Greenpoint for their lovely creation which was BIG like what I've always wanted from Martha Stewart Weddings!

Sawasdee-ka
I blog from Koh Samui, Thailand.
Tonight is our first night here and it's an adventure. We just rented a bike, though after some deliberation especially with all the scare about the dangers and about accidents. We just pray to God for his protection as we ride.
Tomorrow we will explore Chaweng, the town area of Koh Samui. Hope the ride will be safe and fun. Later we'll going to soak in the rose petal filled jacuzzi. Oh I forgot to mention they decorated our bed with 2 towels in the shape of kissing swans and rose petals forming a giant heart shape. Very tacky. But love the effort.
The room is actually smaller than it appears in the photos. The surroundings look just as good though... especially the jaw-droppingly gorgeous reception-cum-restaurant that opens up to a view of swimming pool.
The beach however looks a bit disappointing. I was expecting the same crystal clear blue waters and white sand but I have not seen that familiar "maldives" look here yet.
Friday we'll be going back to Bangkok and we'll shop again!
It's also nice to receive compliments on our wedding and how our friends have enjoyed it. Some were touched by my awful singing. That was the most horrendous performance I ever gave. Tsk. Tsk. Many were impressed with Wansheng's and Lim Ching's photography skill shown on our clever photo set up near the registration table. We can't wait to see Wansheng's coverage of our wedding. I was so disappointed that I didn't even get to have a look at the photo set up. Sigh..
Okay now I gotta go and soak in my jacuzzi bath. Later.

Oh yes! An update on our housing
I'm indeed blogging with a vengeance. Now how about an update on our house?
Our flat is like 40% done. The tiles are up. The Burmese teak parquet is just waiting to be "layed" ("laid" just sounds wrong). Our carpentry designs are confirmed. Our lamination skins are also decided. We're just short of some doors, a new window, a bed and a sink.
I just love the light mint shade of our mosaics on the kitchen wall. Absolutely love those pink rectangular mosaics in our toilet too.
Just hope our house can be done in time... though it doesn't look likely to happen.

Jon The Emcee
Read the first draft of Jon's script.
It's hilarious... it's so Jon!
I just hope our folks get it... maybe not.
Well, as long as the rest of the 70% guests get his jokes, I think I'll count that as a success.
I'm waiting for my iphoto to be transferred. I've decided to ship it Express (2-3 days). At double the normal rate of shipping, I sure hope it reaches my uncle in time! I also hope the payment and shipping goes through!

time is running out...
So much to do... So llittle time left.
Today we went for our final fitting of the gowns and his suit. His pants seemed to have shrunk. Either that or he grew taller which isn't likely the case.
I felt like I couldn't breathe in my bridal gown and felt like I was in a ridiculously tight Victorian gown with a corset underneath it. But Mel, my designer, said it was okay and that I wasn't used to wearing it after so long.
My evening gown fitted okay I guess but I have already lost the liking for it. I think I really dislike the colour and design of the top half of my evening gown. The pink is just not right, it looks dirty and purplish plus there are just too many crystals on it. The skirt still look lovely, very Monique Lhuillier (but of course it does, I ripped the design off her!).
My Uncle Joe just called me to tell me that if I don't buy my photo album in time, I can forget about sending it to his place for him to bring it to Singapore. We had done up a photo album of pictures taken by Feldberyl using iPhoto and had procrastinated with the purchase for the longest time. They don't ship to Singapore and so we had to try using our Singapore credit card to pay for shipping to the US. We're not even sure it will work! Now I only have less than 1 day to try.
Hope we make it.
