the day our flat shook

i experienced an earthquake a second time in my life. though not quite major but it was a good few minutes that it lasted. i was sitting in my chair doing my thing and i was wondering why my heart pounded so hard that it made my whole body move so much. Then i turned around and saw my clothes hanging on the drying rack actually shaking too. Then i realised this could be an earthquake. i told chris and chris started to notice and then we saw our metal shelf sway left and right. this was probably quite bad because i've never seen my shelf sway like this before. this happened on wednesday, when the 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit Padang, Indonesia.

it is so sad to know you actually experience a fraction of what they experienced and could not do anything to help them. 2 earthquakes in 1 day (earlier earthquake was in Samoa). could this be a sign of the end of times? ^"7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. ⁸All these are the beginning of birth pains." - Matthew 24:7-8

how many of our friends are still not saved? how many more have not heard the gospel? we need to start working on telling the gospel message to our friends. they still do not understand/know fully why we need to tell them the good news about Jesus. ("¹⁴And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. - Matthew 24:14").
