Sawasdee-ka
I blog from Koh Samui, Thailand.
Tonight is our first night here and it's an adventure. We just rented a bike, though after some deliberation especially with all the scare about the dangers and about accidents. We just pray to God for his protection as we ride.
Tomorrow we will explore Chaweng, the town area of Koh Samui. Hope the ride will be safe and fun. Later we'll going to soak in the rose petal filled jacuzzi. Oh I forgot to mention they decorated our bed with 2 towels in the shape of kissing swans and rose petals forming a giant heart shape. Very tacky. But love the effort.
The room is actually smaller than it appears in the photos. The surroundings look just as good though... especially the jaw-droppingly gorgeous reception-cum-restaurant that opens up to a view of swimming pool.
The beach however looks a bit disappointing. I was expecting the same crystal clear blue waters and white sand but I have not seen that familiar "maldives" look here yet.
Friday we'll be going back to Bangkok and we'll shop again!
It's also nice to receive compliments on our wedding and how our friends have enjoyed it. Some were touched by my awful singing. That was the most horrendous performance I ever gave. Tsk. Tsk. Many were impressed with Wansheng's and Lim Ching's photography skill shown on our clever photo set up near the registration table. We can't wait to see Wansheng's coverage of our wedding. I was so disappointed that I didn't even get to have a look at the photo set up. Sigh..
Okay now I gotta go and soak in my jacuzzi bath. Later.
