Days 26-29: San Francisco
- backdated post -
So we spent 4 nights in San Francisco and pretty much explored almost all the sights worthwhile to see. The city is quite scary at night especially at Civic Center. You can feel the vibe even when you pass by the area. Da hood is everywhere and homeless people roam the streets. We actually got out at the wrong bus stop and ended up right there. Thank God no one bothered us and we managed to go about the shopping area and then back to the hotel.
San Francisco is a beautiful city but a little scary at night. We got the 3 day Muni pass which allowed us to travel by bus and cable car unlimited and that was nice. We explored the postcard row at Alamo Square which is not very touristy as well as Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street and Golden Gate Bridge with a brief detour to Palace of the Fine Arts. San Francisco is cold. Very cold. We wore minimum 3 layers.
This is Chinatown. We only went there to eat lunch (I missed Chinese food)
but this was taken when we were passing through.

Heyas woman! Wow, you are sure having an adventure there! Meeting Will Smith, having near death experience, rashes etc. Hope your rashes have cleared up by now.
If you are still in San Fran, you must go Castro! It's a purely gay street with gay pubs, clubs and naughty shops hehe. It's quite an experience and the people there are very nice. Even the chocolate shop there sells weirdly shaped pastry like "Dick on a Stick" (Literally) lol
Oh and seeing Chris in front of Apple shop reminds me, if it is possible, can help me check how much are they selling their latest version of Iphone? It's my dream phone and I know it's cheaper to get from US than in SG. Let me know if you can. Thank hor.
Enjoy the rest of your trip! Miss ya!
iPhone from US cannot work in SG. Chris was tempted too but you don't know how to work the sim card cos it is tied to 1 exclusive telco in USA and will be the same in SG. Note that you won't be covered by warranty too. I think you can find out more on AT & T website. They're the ones selling it in US. We visited Castro St and yes it was interesting but bores me cos nothing there suits me. But there was a fab pizza place and I absolutely loved the taste of their pizza which was phenomenal.
Ahhh, I know that the phone won't be able to use in SG unless someone cracks the sim card code. Anyways, no probs, just curious how much they are selling now is all hehe.
I'm sorry Castro isn't as exciting to you, thought it would be interesting to see a different culture in another country. :-P I know about the pizza place and agrees that their pizza is absolutely yummy! :-D
